How Vale Comer Came to Be

Vale Comer was born from my wife Esmira’s passion for cooking and sharing vibrant, flavorful dishes. Together, we decided to turn that passion into a family business and bring the authentic taste of the Dominican Republic to our community. Every meal is cooked from scratch using fresh, natural ingredients. Our goal is to offer Dominicans living far from home a comforting taste of nostalgia, while welcoming local food lovers and the broader community to experience true Caribbean flavor—prepared with care, dedication, and heart.

The Name

Vale Comer means “it’s worth eating,” and that promise starts before you even order. In Ambridge, Robert and Esmirna built a place that brings Dominican flavor and everyday welcome to a town with deep working-class roots.

The People

This is a husband-and-wife spot, and you feel that right away. Guests talk about how Robert and Esmirna greet you warmly, help you choose, and make you feel at home.

The Food

Real Dominican cooking not inspired, not adapted. A guest from the DR said the food and the merengue in the background felt just like home.
